Leadership

The leadership of the Snoqualmie Valley Education Association consists of an elected Executive Board and Representative Council.

Executive Board

The Executive Board consists of the President, Vice-Presidents (Elementary, Secondary, and Student Services), Treasurer, and Secretary who are elected for two year terms. The Board conducts and manages the business of the Association, prepares a budget, and implements motions and resolutions approved by the membership and/or Representative Council. Meetings of the Executive Board are held monthly.

Representative Council

The Representative Council consists of building representatives who are the legislative and policy making body of the Association. Building Representatives are elected for two year terms by the members at each school. Representative Council meetings at least eight times a year. 

Building representatives are trained to deal with building issues and concerns. Contact your rep for information and help in dealing with anything that might come up. He or she can assist you through building operating principles, district policies, our collective bargaining agreement, and SVEA, WEA, and NEA guidelines. We encourage you to ask questions.
